Use Your Kitchen to Turn Cheap Conditioner into a Deep Treatment

Sometimes purchasing pre- and post-shampoo conditioning treatments can be costly. However, I keep cheap conditioner on hand for those times when I can't afford my regular more expensive treatments. Those cheap conditioners require some extra help to make them as effective as my more expensive treatments. This is when I raid my kitchen and begin mixing. Learn what kitchen items are useful for hair and some recipes that will turn your cheap conditioner into a deep treatment.

Kitchen Items That Can Make Your Cheap Conditioner More Potent

You may be surprised that some of the items currently in your pantry and refrigerator can help make a deep conditioning treatment for your hair. If you have olive oil, sweet almond oil or avocado oil in your pantry, you have the moisturizing ingredient for a deep conditioning or hot oil treatment. Plain yogurt, coconut milk and eggs are great sources of protein to be added to a conditioning treatment for strength. Honey is a humectant and is only needed if you have dry, coarse hair that does not attract or retain moisture easily. Other kitchen ingredients that help hair include banana and avocado which many believe help repair damage hair. When any of these ingredients are added to a cheap conditioner they can turn it into a deep conditioning treatment or mask that can be used as a pre-poo or post shampoo conditioning treatment.
