The oil has many medical properties, including for the use of hair. Almond oil comes in two types, sweet almond oil and bitter almond oil. It is the sweet almond oil that is used in skin and hair care products. But be advised that if you are allergic to almonds, you could possibly have an allergic reaction if applied to the scalp.
