And, I also purchased Crème de Violet, which is a frosty, vivid pinkish-violet that's flecked with tiny bits of gold shimmer. Unfortunately, M.A.C. did not carry any eye shadow applicators, so I had to purchase that elsewhere.
One little downfall that you may immediately notice regarding M.A.C. eye shadows is the prices. The price for each individual pot of M.A.C eye shadow can range from 12-18 dollars. This is actually one of the reasons why I tried my best to stay away from the M.A.C. eye shadows in the beginning. It could become a pretty expensive little addiction. But once you wear it and see how your whole faces brightens up with just a sweep of M.A.C. eye shadow, the price isn't going to be a factor....unless you buy all one hundred and sixty M.A.C. eye shadows! Tempting, of course! But that can be a HUGE 'ouch' factor to your wallet book!
The M.A.C. eye shadows come in little black pots that are 15 centimeters deep and four centimeters across. The little black pots are easy to open with their little effortless snaps which are extremely convenient. Also, M.A.C. eye shadows have a little clear window built in the pot of eye shadow so that you may see which color you are going to use...which would come in extremely handy when you're trying to dig through your black hole (also known as your purse!) in an effort to find what makeup pieces you wish to apply for that day.
When you finally get around to having the M.A.C. eye shadow in your hand and a good quality applicator, you'll notice that when you apply your M.A.C eye shadow, the product will go on so smoothly. You don't even have to use too much to cause a huge effect. I kind of made the mistake of rubbing my applicator too hard upon the surface of the M.A.C. eye shadow. That's usually what I do with store-brand eye shadows...it seems that you have to rub a little harder to even get some color to attach to the applicator wand! But with the M.A.C eye shadows, one little swipe will do the trick. No packing on of eye shadow required. That's a good thing in the long run because it will help your M.A.C. eye shadow last longer than it already does.
