Tomatoes are rich in anti-oxidants and so they counter the ageing effects on the skin. Tomatoes help preserve moisture levels in the body. Tomatoes contain vitamin C, vitamin A, and lycopene.

Only make as much as you need for one treatment, unless otherwise instructed. These recipes do not contain chemicals to prevent the natural ingredients from souring.

Pore Tightener

Tomato juice

Honey

Mix ingredients to form a dense liquid that does not run. Apply to face. Leave on for 10 minutes. Rinse with cool water.

Tomato Scrub for Oily Skin

4 tomatoes

Rice

Soak rice for 30 minutes and grind it coarsely. Crush tomatoes and add the rice. Apply all over the body. After 15 minutes, shower with warm water.

Tomato Paste Pimple Reducer


Apply undiluted tomato paste to face. After 15 minutes rinse with warm water. Can also be used to treat individual pimples.

Tomato Facial Mask

1/4 T Fuller's Earth

Tomato pulp

Yogurt

Cucumber juice

Mix ingredients to form a paste. Apply to face. After 20 minutes rinse with cool water. This mask can be used twice a week.

Tomato Treatment for Hair


Apply undiluted tomato paste to scalp. After 15 minutes, wash it off. This treatment works for getting odors from hair when regular shampooing does not work.

Tomato Crush


Halve a tomato. Gently rub over face and neck. After 15 minutes rinse with tepid water. Save the other half for the same treatment in two days.
